NEW! ARP Omni Demo recorded from cassette is on the sounds page (thanks to Andy Clayton, the narrator of the Omni Demo for sending this)

I am the proud owner of of an ARP Omni 1 synthesizer which I purchased used at Lasalle Music, Hartford, CT in May, 1980 in exchange for a nearly new Wurlitzer electric piano, and a fistful of cash. The Omni & I did numerous gigs together in Western Mass./Northern Ct. in the early 80's. After retiring from active public performance to pursue an exciting ;-) career in mathematics and computer science, I kept my Omni mostly packed away in its road case, occasionally taking it out to do some recording in the basement studio. After a few years of silence due to aging electronic components, my Omni is once again making joyful noises. It is now full of CMOS chips and aluminum electrolytic capicitors manufactured in this millenium. As an added benefit, I can now solder (and desolder) like a pro. This site contains a collection of links and other resources that I assembled during the Omni Resoration Project.
